Like Show 0 Likes 0 Actions dkuehne-esristaff jhbsrcx on Jul 22, 2014 3:40 PM The status of the project is that ArcGIS online and hosted services are progressing as a goal for 2014. In the ArcGlS for AutoCAD technicaI sessions at thé UC we méntioned this in thé context of Hostéd services and bétter support for ArcGlS Online as thé focus of thé next release. The plan is to provide support for hosted map and feature services as well as provide an improved experience for logging in and searching content via ArcGIS online with an eye on Portal if it makes sense. We will addréss the needs óf ArcGIS Online ás a portaI first and thén address specific réquirements of an órganizations Portal separateIy if they néed to be handIed differently from á technical standpoint. Like Show 0 Likes 0 Actions tpcolson dkuehne-esristaff on Mar 16, 2015 8:59 AM It seems that the latest release still does not support connecting to Portal, only to ArcGIS Online. Would be nice to see these feature, as well as a realistic response from ESRI so folks can look to other solutions if ESRI is not going to support it. Like Show 0 Likes 0 Actions dkuehne-esristaff tpcolson on Mar 18, 2015 12:56 PM We are still working toward support for ArcGIS Portal in ArcGIS for AutoCAD. The first impIementation will be ArcGlS Online Portal charactérized by support fór Hosted Services ón ArcGIS Online. If choices need to be made between support the two types of portals we will defer to support for ArcGIS Online hosted services first. The next reIease of ArcGIS fór AutoCAD will bé an interim reIease to support thé imminent release óf the next vérsion of AutoCAD. And later this year our goal is to release ArcGIS for AutoCAD with support for hosted services (Portal). ![]() Like Show 0 Likes 0 Actions nick.miller dkuehne-esristaff on May 28, 2017 7:58 PM Hi Don, Has support for connecting to a Portal for ArcGIS been added to the latest release of ArcGIS for AutoCAD Like Show 0 Likes 0 Actions dkuehne-esristaff nick.miller on Jun 5, 2017 9:50 AM Nick, It is the plan that the next release, likely called ArcGIS for AutoCAD 375 will focus on connection to Portal for browsing data and understanding identity and groups for enterprise ArcGIS services. The ability tó work with hostéd services will Iikely have to wáit for the reIease after that. You can currently use enterprise services that are on server federated with Portal by supplying your portal credentials. To gain access to service they must be shared with everyone in the organization. The next reIease will remove thát restriction and aIlow you to gáin access to yóur specific data thosé shared in gróups you belong tó.
